The C1 is an electric self-balancing scooter-car cross-over from motorcycle innovation company Lit Motors from San Fransisco, U.S.

The scooter contains an innovative dual gyroscope based self-balancing system with 800 Nm torque. The self balancing system is capable to keep the motorcycle stable during a crash.

How much force would it take to knock the C1 on its side? According to Lit Motors: “a small elephant would have to hit it broadside to put the C1 on the ground.

The C1 has a strong steel unibody chassis, seat-belts and airbags.

The C1 has two 20,000 watt electric motors in both wheels (two-wheel drive, 2WD).

The scooter has a powerful Lithium battery for an effective driving range of 171 miles. The charge time is 4 to 6 hours using a regular home outlet charger.

The scooter has a Kinetic Energy Recovery SystemΒ (KERS)Β or regenerative braking in which energy from braking is returned to the battery.

The C1 provides space for two passengers.

The scooter is available in any color and with a custom business print.
